Channel Surfing Release 2

by Mike

I’ve posted an updated release of my interactive fiction game Channel Surfing that includes numerous bug fixes that were present in the original release.

As of right now (November 19th), this is not the final version of Release 2 — I plan to work a bit more on it — but it’s vastly improved over the original. You can pick it up on the Channel Surfing game page here.

IFComp is over, results are in

IFComp ‘08 is over, and Channel Surfing placed 21st out of 35 entries. The story file is available here, and I’ll put up a games page on this site soon.

An updated version of Channel Surfing will be released within the next few weeks that fixes most of the major bugs in the competition version.

IFComp ‘08 started

It’s open for business. You can download the games here (all at once) or here (individually). My entry is called Channel Surfing.

I’m not allowed to talk about the game in public until the judging is over, as per the competition rules.

The Gallery of Henri Beauchamp released

My first game release, The Gallery of Henri Beauchamp is a work of Interactive Fiction. Originally I planned to do this just as an experiment in order to learn Inform 7, but it ended up being a complete game. You can play it in your web browser, or download it to your PC (or any other platform that can run a z-machine interpreter).

You can find it here, or by clicking on the “games” tab above in the navigation menu.
