Okay, time for a game. I’ll give you some frightening phrases used by none other than our own Commander in Chief, and you try to guess what country he’s talking about.
“[this country]‘s active pursuit of technology that could lead to nuclear weapons threatens to put a region already known for instability and violence under the shadow of a nuclear holocaust”
“[this country]‘s actions threaten the security of nations everywhere, and that is why the United States is rallying friends and allies around the world to isolate the regime, to impose economic sanctions”
“[this country] is the world’s leading state sponsor of terrorism”
“We will confront this danger before it is too late.”
If you guessed Iran, you’re right. Here we go again.
And, of course, this certainly has nothing to do with distracting the public from the recent reports saying Iraq isn’t meeting many of the predictions made by Bush, or from any of the other generally embarrassing things the administration has been involved with lately. It would be down-right cynical to assume so.
“Here we go again.”
Indeed.
I really hope we don’t go into iran… ti was a big enough mistake to invade iraq….
Re: I really hope we don’t go into iran… ti was a big enough mistake to invade iraq…
Yeah, you’re right – the stable, democratic government, the depsoing of an evil tyrant, the freeing of silly brown people, the closing of the children’s prisons, the torture of their athletes when they failed by the aformentioned tyrant’s son, the peace and prosperity of the Kurds – not worth it
Honestly, I don’t give a crap if they do not find any WMDs (and, for your ill-informed reference, Saddam did have them in the past – ask the Kurds) – these people now have some hope
But do not worry, America will abandon her friend soon, for so long as copmplete frightened pussies like you vote, America willchoose leaders that view enemies as friends and friends as enemies.
Maybe ‘The One’ will get a piece of paper signed by Iran
