Obama wins election

It’s official!

Some part of me can’t believe we did this. I went down to my local polling place earlier today and voted (Obama for President, no on prop 8 ) — absolutely no line — and nearly all my 18+ year old friends also voted today. I can imagine the turnout for this election was incredible.

I wasn’t originally an Obama supporter in the primary, but this race has convinced me that he’s the best candidate for the job. Part of it is just how overwhelmingly negative and vicious McCain’s campaign has been (to the point of being frequently dishonest), but I do think Obama’s message is inspiring, and this definitely a very historic event.

I’m not usually optimistic, but I think things are looking up. We’ll see what happens in the next 4 (8?) years.

About probabilityZero

I'm a rather boring, geeky college student. Most of my time is spent at a computer, reading a book, or sitting in (mostly uninteresting) classes. My hobbies include reading, blogging, creating and running websites, creating amateur video games, arguing incessantly on discussion forums, and buying books on amazon.com because I'm too lazy to go to the library.
