I’m asking this question because I genuinely want to know the answer. Are there actually people out there who think Obama is a terrorist?
In case you haven’t heard, that McCain ad trying to play up a relationship between Obama and Ayers is completely misleading. Ayers was a member of the radical anti-war group the Weather Underground (which operated while Obama was still a small child), but in the last 20 years Ayers has been more well-known as an education expert and college professor. Both Obama and Ayers served on the board of an anti-poverty group in 1995 (there were many conservatives on the board as well). Their paths have crossed occasionally since then.
During a Democratic primary debate in April, Obama said of Ayers: “[He's] a guy who lives in my neighborhood who’s a professor of English in Chicago, who I know and who I have not received some official endorsement from. He’s not somebody who I exchange ideas from on a regular basis. And the notion that somehow as a consequence of me knowing somebody who engaged in detestable acts 40 years ago when I was 8 years old, somehow reflects on me and my values, doesn’t make much sense.”
There’s an error in Obama’s statement — Ayers is a professor of education, not English — but it’s hard to call his statement a lie. The New York Times concluded:
A review of records of the schools project and interviews with a dozen people who know both men, suggest that Mr. Obama, 47, has played down his contacts with Mr. Ayers, 63. But the two men do not appear to have been close. Nor has Mr. Obama ever expressed sympathy for the radical views and actions of Mr. Ayers, whom he has called “somebody who engaged in detestable acts 40 years ago, when I was 8.â€
The “terrorist” is largely rehabilitated — not that that should matter anyway, since the connections between him and Obama are so flimsy — and Obama has publicly denounced Ayers’s past actions. Obama “downplayed” his association with Ayers because the rabid right would blow it out of proportion.
That’s why I’m asking this question. Is there anyone that genuinely thinks Obama is a terrorist? I’ve heard crowds of people chant it, but I’ve yet to meet someone that believes it. I fear there may be people out there that hold this belief.
Have you heard those racist morons yelling at those events? They probably think Obama was there with Ayers blowing up buildings.
I don’t find Obama to be a terrorist, he seems too good-natured. I do find him to be an idiot for allowing his Illinois campaign to be launched out of the livingroom of someone who was part of a terrorist organization, and claims that organization did not do enough. If you are running for political office, you check these things out first. I believe it shows a collosal error in judgement for Obama, as many of his associations have proved to have been.
I don’t think he’s a terrorist, but there’s something about him that I greatly distrust. I think right now with the economy the way it is that we need a leader with a little more experience. Obama can always try again in 4 years, when hopefully things have settled down.

Obama uses terrorism too affect the changes he wants. He uses fear for political maneuvering, that is terrorism.

Anybody out there who thinks Obama is a terrorist and will “blow us to peices” is wrong. He is a great president, and is what america needs. There is no proof what so ever towards him being
a terrorist and no one should judge him by anything else but that.
